Posted by admin in Software on 12 6th, 2009

The presence of mobile connection has become a prevalent occurrence these days. As it possesses a lot of advantages for people who are on the go and need to stay connected even when in transit, mobile connection has made communication easier and more portable. Thus, its prominence has presented the need for reliable mobile connection management scheme to ensure that every component that participates in this form of connection is working at its best and to prevent crashes in the mobile connection communication. This can be made possible by using interference-free channels to make sure that no signals cancel each other out in mid-air which may cause a great loss of data.

Aside from reliability, a mobile connection manager is also responsible for making the use of communication channels more efficient. Since communication channels are a limited resource, it is a challenge to a mobile connection manager how it will be able to supervise every connection under its jurisdiction. As much as possible, it should try to maintain that every channel is used to its fullest and there must be proper scheduling in sending and receiving of signals in every connection.

Mobile connection should also target providing service that is very quick. Since more people are sending demands for this kind of communication, it should not sacrifice speedy service. The service should be able to deliver in real time, and if there may be unavoidable delays in the service, the discrepancy between the received and actual time of connecting should be negligible.

The lifestyle of people today is continuously increasing in phase and because of this, mobile connection software products has been in demand. Such technology is used by modern businesses and common people alike. Mobile connection software developers are also continuously developing and innovating software products to release in the market.

Google, in its quest for global supremacy, begins another ambitious project…Android.

Android is a mobile device platform based on the Linux operating system, developed by Google and the Open Handset Alliance. Android, a complete software platform and operating system for mobile phones, is slated for release in late 2008. It is as of now still under development, and is designed to run even on handsets with relatively low RAM and processor speeds.

Currently, the platform supports a wide range of wireless connectivity technologies, including GSM, CDMA, EDGE, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi. SMS and MMS are already supported, with threaded SMS being one of the most-awaited features. There is also good multimedia support, with the platform able to play various audio and video formats such as MP3, MPEG 4, H.264, AAC, JGP and more.

Of course, the biggest draw of Android is the fact that it is open source, unlike most mobile platforms (Apple’s iPhone being the most notable closed-source platform). Like with Linux, developers hope that the open-source nature of Android will help in faster development, as well as faster and easier bug finding and fixing. The Open Handset Alliance includes Google, HTC, Intel, Motorola, Qualcomm, T-Mobile, Sprint Nextel, and Nvidia.
