Sony Ericsson’s New Cyber-shot Flagship
Posted by admin in Gadgets on 04 17th, 2008Get ready to sound the death knells for the compact point-and-shoot camera. Sony Ericsson just introduced its latest and greatest in its Cyber-shot line, the new C905. The C905, a sleek and stylish slider, has a camera that features a sensor with 8.1 megapixels, a xenon (read: real!) flash, a photo flash (for videos), image stabilization, face detection, and even geotagging.

As recently as last year, those were features you could only find in a dedicated point-and-shoot. The C905 is much more than just a phone with a good camera though. It has a quad band GSM antenna, and a triband UMTS/HSDPA antenna for all the 3G goodness you will ever need. The Phone features a 2.4-inch TFT scratch-resistant display with QVGA (320 x 240) resolution, auto-screen rotation with the use of accelerometers, and a TV-out port.
Additional goodies include assisted GPS with Google Maps, A2DP stereo Bluetooth, 160 MB internal memory with a bundled 2 GB Memory Stick Micro (M2), and a rarity for non-smart phones, Wi-Fi. The C905’s dimensions are 104 x 49 x 18mm (Lx W x H), and weight is 166 grams. The Sony Ericsson Cyber-shot C905 will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
